NVA is a part of the EFA but is an exemption and isn’t a part of the Green fraction but of the ECR

Excluding nuclear power is precisely why this green deal isn't going to happen. We could've built nuclear power plants decades ago to help, but now we are stuck between deciding if it's green or not and if it could help. It can't. It's too late. Building nuclear power plants takes too long and by the time they are finished, their goal of 2040 is no longer possible.

Any party opposing nuclear power cannot consider itself "green" or "enviromentalists" I really thought that european greens were better than their counterparts

No Nuclear Energy support is a bit of a turn off

I'm glad that you finished the series before the election, watched them all to find out what each party is about. Definitely helped with my decision on who to vote for.

Excluding nuclear energy is a huge mistake. 100% renewable is impossible to achieve, look at Germany (opening coal mines) and California (having a lot of power outages). This plan is dangerous.
Nuclear is reliable, low cost (VALCOE). A reactor takes just 5 years to build when it's done correctly. And even if it takes 15, well, we'll still need electricity in 15 years ! Renewable is expensive, it does not produce anything if there is no wind or sun, and it takes a loooot of space to produce a decent amount of electricity.
The nuclear waste ? It is a very little amount compared to the energy produced. In comparison, the toxic metal from the solar panels waste is way more a problem but no one cares about it...

Don't get me wrong, we need both nuclear and renewable. But focusing only on renewable will not work.

"Ew brother ew what's that brother"

No nuclear is biggest turn off when there are technologies that can make nuclear waste toxicity go away much quicker than before and if that would improve it would be even better.

The fact that everybody ignores EFA really bothers me, they have got significant ideas concerning all the topics you have analyzed.

the greens usually use the argument to listen to science in regards to climate change, however the fact that they so radically oppose nuclear power is why I just can't vote for them, as scientist and engineers have more than argued that nuclear power is a major solution to decarbonising our energy production. and nuclear fuel CAN be re-enriched, so it IS renewable to a major extent

Thanks for the video! In my opinion they have the right idea but it's too idealistic. No to nuclear is already a no deal. They seem to actively want more refugees coming in, and while their stance is resolutely anti-dictators like Putin, they are not treating it as the urgent threat it is. I'd be happy to see them in the coalition if only for their commitment to green energy, but their proposals are not suitable for a lead role in Europe.

do people not realize that excluding nuclear means including fossil fuels?

Volt is my main reason to be politically active now.

1:30 in Portugal, LIVRE might be doing better now but the traditional Green party - Ecologist Party "The Greens" is still around and a member of the European Green Party 😅

This is definitely my choice. We need to fight the extreme right to fight the climate crisis. And EPP doesn’t seem to be up for the task.

I'd love to vote for the Greens/EFA but unfortunately, there's no member party with a chance of succeding in my country 😢
