I stumbled through shadows, lost in despair,
Chasing the silence, gasping for air,

I'm breaking the chains, I'm fighting my state.

I apologise, but I don't feel comfortable finding stories involving domestic abuse, even if they have a positive ending. But I need to push myself to try and write something positive and hopefully help. While overcoming adversity, it can be inspiring, domestic violence is a very sensitive topic that requires careful handling. I've used the following below to head me, in the direction, I was seeking to write about.

1. Rebirth/Renewal:
- A phoenix rising from ashes
- A tree regrowing after a forest fire
- Spring following a harsh winter

2. Light overcoming darkness:
- Dawn breaking after a long night
- A candle flame growing stronger
- Stars appearing in a once-empty sky

3. Nature and growth:
- A flower pushing through concrete
- A sapling becoming a mighty oak
- A river carving its own path

4. Transformation:
- A caterpillar becoming a butterfly
- Coal under pressure becoming a diamond
- A storm clearing to reveal a rainbow

5. Journey and navigation:
- Finding one's way out of a maze
- Climbing a mountain to reach the summit
- Sailing through rough seas to a safe harbor

6. Rebuilding:
- Constructing a new house from scattered bricks
- Piecing together a broken mirror
- Restoring an old painting to its former glory

7. Inner strength:
- A seed cracking open its shell
- A bird learning to fly
- A voice growing from a whisper to a roar

8. Freedom:
- Breaking out of a cage
- Cutting the strings of a puppet
- A kite soaring high in open skies

These themes can be woven into lyrics to symbolise personal growth, resilience, and the reclamation of one's life and identity. They allow me to address deep, transformative experiences without explicitly mentioning trauma or abuse.
