"We'll support Ukraine for as long as it takes."

See Afghanistan and Iraq on that.

The Russian motorcycle squads are not doing suicidal assaults at all. Actually what the are doing is really smart. Basically the Russians are pummelling the place they want to attack with artillery and rockets and then sending in their armoured assault units to attack from the front. Meanwhile while the artillery attack was happening and any sensible Ukrainian was taking cover the motorcycle units use their speed to either take positions on the Ukrainian flanks, or if there are Ukrainian fall back trenches going for them. If the Ukrainians decide to bug out and retreat they retreat into trenches already occupied by the motorcycle squads.

Alex from History Legends has just done a really good video on motorcycle units, how they are used and how they have evolved. Well worth a watch.

Watch History Legends video on the motorcycle units. It's quite enlightening The survival rate is much higher for them as opposed to mechanized units

The russians have become masters of storming these fortress cities, look at what happened to Avdiivka, they clearly learnt what to do and what not to do when attacking a strategic city after bakhmut, remember the russians took a few months to reach avdiivka and suffered heavy losses but once they entered the city, they literally split it in 2 and took in in a few weeks . Vuledar is an interesting case, im surprised they havent leveled those soviet era apartments, seems like the russians are preserving it to use for defense, we know FABs can reach those buildings if they wanted.

The Russians are learning and adapting. That's why the casualty rates have started going down. They have more artillery and more drones. Thinking they will not adapt is dumb.

Good luck on the scan. Hard to watch someone as bright and well informed as yourself faced with these kinds of health issues. Hope to see this behind you, your lady needs you.

One thing I realized about people going on the offensive losing more than people defending is how firepower could negate that. Basically, if the offensive force has enough firepower, they can destroy the defense before showing up. Basically, wipe out the enemy before ground forces even show up.

"Russian losses" according to UK MoD. LOL!
And then we remember it was the UK MI6 that said russian soldiers are fighting only with shovels because of ammo and weapon shortages. Then we burst our appendicitis from laughter.

In Nov 2022, Russia was NEVER on the ropes. It successfully successfully conducted the most difficult maneuver in the military book. A withdraw without casualties under close enemy contact, so Kherson was a fiasco for Ukraine. Moscow learned its lessons in 1941 and the Kyiv pocket, saving one's army is more important than territory.

Sad to see our UK MOD become a propaganda mouthpiece for false Ukrainian propaganda

There is contradiction in "Kursk was a good idea, exposed Russia as being weaker BUT we (Ukr) are paying the price of it". Something doesn't calculate, sounds like self-delusion aka cope.

The Ukrainians are already withdrawing from Vuhledar so I don't think it'll be like Bakhmut, rather it will go quite quickly. It's ironic that Ukraine is asking for security guarantees, exactly the thing that Russia was asking for before the war, and which could have prevented the war starting in the first place.

If Putin and Zelensky don’t get along soon, I might have time to step in 😡

The ability of the Ukrainian army to fight major battles, even in built up and entrenched urban areas, is not what it used to be. This is a force that is running low on everything you can think of. Meanwhile the Russians are becoming stronger every day.

Also when Zelensky hipocritically complain the 18% territory lost should talk about the 30% more productive lost to BLACKROCK/Monsanto and all the debt that basically means even if Ukraine will march on the red square it will still be a bankrupt colony of the USA.
