This is hands down the best method to tie a proper FG knot with the right amount of tension on the main line - without ruining your teeth!

Nice to show different techniques of tying this knot finally figured this knot out and it's very impressive in strength thought the Alberto knot was strong enough but the FG knot is unbelievable Thx for sharing

Nice instructional video. Looks like a lot of work though. Probably not too bad after practice though. But I'll stick to my trusted Albright knot for now. Great video. Thanks

Nicely done! Especially keeping your mouth uninvolved. Seriously, I haven’t tied the knot as often or tested it anywhere near as often as you have, but I tend to like to do a couple half- hitches over the tag of the fluoro and then the Rizutto finish to create a ramp, which may not matter with a 10# leader, but makes me feel more secure if I’m using 25-30# for a swimbait. Am I just overthinking it?

Mr DeRose, I have One reel, Daiwa BG 3000. I want to fish 8 pound braid on it. What size line for mono backing would you recommend? Thanks, enjoy your videos

It works but is a real pain to do on light lines (30lbs braid to 15 lbs fluoro)
