I like when pianists do not push tempo but play in such a romantic way as he does. Beautiful sound, clear melody, tempo rubato. Chopin would be proud of this performance.

With father Jussen at the kettle drums. He must be so proud.

So so beautiful in my 65 years of listening to this piece I have never heard it being played so incredibly beautiful. No other pianist comes close to this performance. Wow. Also a wonderful concert master and such a great orchestra with no conductor. Fine musicians. Such a pleasure. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for putting this on YouTube.

How wonderful to have the opportunity to listen to such uplifting music during this time of lockdown. As someone with a below par immune system, I was advised by the UK government three months ago to not leave the house at all for the coming 12 weeks unless it was for a medical appointment. During this time I have left the house for 11 medical appointments and been at home the rest of the time. Music like this connects me with the outside world and all my hope and aspiration for a better future for all of us. Bravo!

Just sublime. The adorable child prodigies have matured into wonderful adult artists who play with style and sensitivity. What a lovely, nuanced performance by all.

Bonjour chers artistes. Je vous ai écoutés pour la centième fois et ce rendez-vous de quiétude et de paix n'a pas de prix. Vive le pianiste, vive les musiciens à qui j'adresse mes salutations les plus cordiales et mes remerciements les plus sincères.

I strongly believe that with such a performance, You, dear Lucas, and the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra have joined the Wonders of the World. In account of this very special interpretation of the Piano Concerto No. 1,  Chopin is certainly the proudest of all. From Québec City (Canada), BRAVISSIMO to each and all of you great artists from the Netherlands. May God bless you all and keep you all in His Love for ever.

Such a lyrical and sensitive performance. And no conductor! Chopin is not played very often and is very beautiful with Lucas Jussen! 48 minutes long. Wow!
