I'm pretty sure we can write off SD3 and focus on improving SDXL.

The only thing that will be destroyed here is Stability AI itself.

Imagine Blender charging you a monthly fee and claiming ownership of anything you make with it.

The new license is Adobe's level of greed

These people are losing their mind. they think they are bigger than Dall-E and Midjourney combined. whoever did this needs to be fired immediately.

Upon termination of the agreement users shall contact Dr Strange to erase the memories of those who have seen the images and ideas generated including erasing the entire reality and timeline, including the entire universe dimension where the model resides in ... Okay

So they can train their models off of the art of living artists, without their permission, but we can’t train models with the outputs from the images they stole in the first place? Oh, the irony.

Almost sounds like SD hired the Unity CEO 🤣

Hmm. It's happening sooner than I expected.

I believe that we, as a society, should establish a real, non-profit, open source organization to develop artificial intelligence models that relies on donations and a store like the Blender Foundation

Well, Stability AI just committed corporal suicide.

This is pretty insane considering that the training data was owned by other artists before being scrapped for this stuff.

I have to assume their lawyers wrote this EULA, I am not a lawyer, that said, I have no doubt whatsoever that the EULA as written is not remotely legally enforceable in the USA.
This EULA requires an individual to have perpetual absolute control over creations in all forms and all usages, which is unreasonable, but more importantly it completely re-writes existing established copyright law saying that in fact Stability AI is the sole perpetual owner of everything that is was or ever will be created using their software which is absolutely ridiculous.
A paint manufacturer doesn't own the paintings painted by artists, nor the pencil manufacturer; it's like stipulating that using Photoshop on an image grants Adobe ownership writes to the image -of course that's after the rights of the camera manufacturer, and the sensor manufacturer...

6000 images per months is absurd and really shows how little they understand their consumer base. I often generate 2000 images in the process of creating a single piece over a few days. And make that tens of thousands if I'm working with video frames. Thank you for highlighting these absurdities Olivio!

I'm gonna destroy the model and not keep using it

Thank you for covering this @Olivio. Really saddened by this development.

SD3 was such a big let down, cant wait for the fine-tuned models and going rogue without a license.

I'm pretty certain this "license" wouldn't last long in a court, at least in Europe.
