Raspberry PI 5 complete hands on set up, including Pi-Apps and review

In this video I will show you the new Raspberry PI 5 hardware.

I will:
- Give an overview of the new board
- Compare it to a Raspberry PI 4
- Show the new official case with built-in fan
- Install the PI 5 into the new case
- Prepare a MicroSD card with Raspberry PI OS
- Complete the Raspberry PI OS setup
- Add a few configuration settings
- Install some applications, including VScode, Pi-Apps and Audacity
- Sum up the new hardware and give my opinion

Good work. Not sure I can get thru the last setup steps, though. I'm confident I can start over again with no problems. I agree that the on-off button is a good (great!) addition.

Ive been using the PI 5 as my main desktop computer since October and with the exception of a few minor exceptions it has been super stable and quick enough for my needs (to be honest I've really only been browsing the web and watching YouTube for the most part). It's a great little box and I'm a sucker for having way too many tabs open in Chromium (20 is not unusual) so it has been well tested.

The best way to get the os is to order it on the sd card. Later versions of the pi allow you to copy to a larger disk very easily.
