DIY Facelift for an Old Record Player (Mid-century modern design)

I had been staring at my old-school-looking record player for years now knowing that one day, I'd upgrade. That day has come!

This clip will give you the "how-to" or "how-I-did" on destroying the fine MDF craftsmanship of Victrola's modern-but--made-to-look-old record/CD/tape/radio/Blutooth player and re-homing it in a lattice-clad, mid-century modern case.

Great build and excellent video! For sealing cable holes etc I use hot glue rather than silicone instant and less messy, great for holding down wires and electronic bits too, no rattles.

At 1:48 when ripping stock narrower than two hands width please use a push block, ( don't trust cheaper saw fence's to clamp straight every time) and don't stand directly behind the cut in case of a kickback. Cool build though and thanks for all of your awesome videos.

The vents on the side look cool, but the sound quality would be better if the cabinet was an acoustically sealed chamber for the speakers. So maybe you can stick some black painted wood inside to block the vents while retaining their appearance.
