Better than the Mojave Road: The East Mojave Heritage Trail

At 1.54 million acres, the Mojave National Preserve is the 2nd largest park managed by the National Park Service in the lower 48. And while most overlanders are familiar with the iconic 140 mile long Mojave Road. But for those looking explore some of the more obscure desert tracks and the history that goes along with it, the 700+ mile East Mojave Heritage Trail is a must!

On this particular adventure, we'll explore most of segment 1 and parts of segments 2 and 3. Along the way we'll visit old mining camps and ghost towns, massive dune fields, drive rocky trails, explore a slot canyon, and get lost in the magic of the Mojave.

you guys are doing great and for us this is one of the best channels for overlanding trials..actual overlanding trails. I wish you had more info though on the trail itself as it seems you really went pretty fast here and for us we have a Off grid trailer which can handle anything. But Overlanding with this awesome trailer it is different than just driving a truck or Jeep so more info on trail conditions, airing down sections, obstacles or areas that maybe a little more difficult. Maybe asking too much but I think this channel and website will really take off

Nice video, I'll be checking out your other videos. Hadn't heard of this one till I came across your video and from what I've seen here the first section won't be a problem for our off roading hardside truck campers. Many of us had wander what had happen to the yellow bus on the Mojave Road now I have the answer.

And just like that, Nipton has been sold. It was sold a few days ago to the company that puts on Absinthe and a few other circus shows in Las Vegas. Their plan is to turn it into a circus town attraction, along with a training/workshopping center for circus performers.
