Definitely picking that Ranger Raptor!!

For me I would take the Ford hands down. I think the looks go to the Ford. I would rather have the extra payload, better ride, and the biggest reason is I don't go off road. The removeable roof and doors mean nothing to me as I would never take either one off.

💯Agree, the Raptor is like nothing I have driven before, the power is insane. 😎

Great Test. This gave me a better idea on how these trucks preform off-road. I would pick the Ranger Raptor for the powertrain and high speed handling.

I think the Raptor Ranger is a relative bargain for what you get, and best in class by far. I don't understand the Mojave model, if I were to buy a Gladiator it would be a Rubicon for technical trails where it would do better than the Raptor. For literally anything else, the Raptor is going to be better, while while being more fun to drive and more comfortable.

Payload is ridiculous on the Jeep. Trailer tongue weight and one or two adults would put you over the limit. Yes, that rust is crazy on a brand new truck.

The answer in all these tests is always the same: Jeep is better off road, non jeep is better on road. For most people who spend 99% of their time on road, non-jeep is almost always the better daily driver. Unless you want a pickup where you can easily take off the doors and roof, of course.

Both peaks of off-road performance. One in the open desert and one on the trails

I had a 22 Mohave and loved A lot about it, but any ride longer than an hour and the seats are uncomfortable, ford you can take on long rides and be comfortable

I’d be interested in the bug to windshield ratio. Love my Gladiator but any short hop on a highway during bug season and I’m blind from the corpse parade on the windshield and the stock wipers are useless. Takes a days worth of elbow grease to clean and heaven help you if you give it more than 10 minutes in the sun to cook into place.

Payload number is weird. I’ve always seen just under 1100 lbs for Mojaves. Maybe that over priced X package adds a bunch of weight? 🤷‍♂️

I need you to test out my 20 year old 4Runner.

It’s not like super built up or anything, just curious to see what an old, reliable (but tired) SUV would look like in this test.

Hey, that could be a whole new series: Regular Dude Offroad Reviews. You test out the inexpensive, clapped-out trucks that us regular folks drive.

I don't understand why the Mojave won't offer a front locker...

Oh look, it's a 2024 Jeep Gladiator Mojave in the Unavailable for 2024 Sarge Green. Just like the last Final Edition 392...no really we mean it this time. Way to go Jeep, nice sales pitch. Love my Gladiator, but every time i see a 2024 Sarge Green, I get a little bitter...

It would be great to see people remove the step and install some frame hugging rock rails..

I like the look of the new ranger, that one is a cool color, but I'd take a Gladiator Mojave any day. Velocity Yellow or Anvy works fo rme. I like the 6 speed manual, but the 8 speed works good.

Like the Ford better! With a slight lift, the Raptor would have more clearance. It is a wide truck though and perhaps not the best for narrow mountain trails.
