Yaesu FTDX10 vs Kenwood TS590SG on weak signal RX

You decide. Not scientific, but just a video showing the similarities in these 2 rigs on weaker signals on 15M CW as the band was going out. Both are 300hz wide filtering. Both with preamps on and off. AGC is set to fast on both rigs. No speakers were used. Audio is fed directly from each rig into the camera audio input.

Thanks for the video. Well done.
Both seem to be great rigs on weak signal receive.

I have both models as well. The Yaesu is a little better every time for me too.

TS590SG has an rx antenna port the FTDX 10 doesn't, which is why I bought the 599SG.

I've been using an FT-710 but recently picked up a 570SG. The 570 is much more pleasant to use, the FT now sounds harsh and I HATE the menus. Just changing filter width is multiple clicks. I'm thinking of selling the FT710 and getting a 590SG.

What I cannot understand it’s why all people here continue to test radios in CW, when their best can be given by compare rx of low signals and frequency where they can get out the real force od filters and dsp. The CW circuit receiver is the most elementary system in the radio and do not tell about the real quality of an arbitrary multi conversion circuit, it’s quite normal to do not hear much difference between the two test and the two radios

Yaesu Rx is far sharper I own it .Kenwood has a thick rich white noise but there so close if you liked the 590 or 890 your right there with just a different approach.if the dx 10 had the Kenwood eq and 5k Rx then it'd be no contest

My morse code isn't very good, but it sounded like a critique of putting pineapple on pizza.
