NOTE: I paid $290 for mine. If you look on eBay, by "Sold Items" you will see that recent sales are between $250-$350, but some are higher. You can often get the best prices on FaceBook Marketplace.

Bought it when it came out, then went on to buy the XT3, XT4 etc ... Gave the XT1 to my brother, convinced him to stick to Fujifilm cameras, trained him, and he went on to become a world famous wildlife photographer thanks to that camera !! (his name is Solly Levi)

I just picked one of these up locally a few months ago. I am a Canon shooter, owning the M50, 5d MkII, R7, and R5. I have to say, the XT1 is my favorite grab and go camera. I recently took it to a wedding in Washington DC, and became a 2nd shooter of sorts. I took all the images in B/W, and the family whose son got married, raved about them.
Keep up the good work, love all your videos on the M50, and more.

I bought an XT-1 about a year ago. It is honestly the best camera that I've ever owned. I also got a reaaly great deal on an XT-3 and 2 Fujifilm lenses. The XT-3 fills the need for great video and also takes great stills. Sometimes I take both cameas for pictures but I alway grab the XT-1 first. The XT-1 is a magical camera.

honestly for the speed and usability it is well worth speeding a little more to get a xt3 or 4, or even a xh1. they are going to be way faster to focus, have more features including usable video, have more options for film sims and effect like film grain and black and white filter options, more buffer space for continuous shooting, faster write speeds to cards, and in the h1's case a way better feeling grip for larger hand. but the biggest reason i would not recommend anyone by a xt1 in 2024 is parts availability. The brand really did not start pushing numbers till the xt2, meaning there are way less xt1s and xt1 parts in the world for when they break down. I can tell you from experience that new parts are very rare and replenished parts are getting harder and harder to find. Most repair will end with fuji offering to replace the camera with a t3 or 4 at this point, because even if they do have a part, it is going to be more to repair than you paid for the camera. This is based on the North America region, you might live in a zone where more bodies sold than here or there is a lower demand for parts. I know i always loved the feel of the h1 over most of the t series cameras, but i also have huge hands. honestly from some one that handles a lot of fuji cameras, i think the best deal right now is the xs20 and the 18mm 1, 4. just a great walk around combo with an amazing hand feel for its size and a jam packed feature set. it really ends up feeling like a xh2s for half the price and half the weight.

I started with an x100S, eventually picked up an XT2, XPro 3 and X100V. I sold everything except my XT2. Took advantage of the Fuji hype and sold most my gear at inflated prices. Love my XT2, that’ll never leave my side (:

I shot the X-T1 & X-Pro 1 for weddings and reportage back in the day. Made enough dough to step up to Leica. But always try pick up a few of these Fujis every year for back-ups as the prices were low used. Not so much these days. 2 X-T1s and any of the 18mms and 35mms is all you need for a standard kit. But the 16mm and 56mm are special ones too. The cheap 3rd party batteries was a bonus for me.

Still use my XT1 all the time. My fav lens is the Fuji 35 1.4, for sure.

XT1 graphite owner here, I use one with Olympus OM lenses and Novoflex adapter. Excellent sharpness and colours. Bliss.

The xt1 was this sickest camera of it’s time, was following the insane rumors before announcement and got it day 1 and couldn’t believe it existed. Also it got insane firmware updates during the first years adding actual new features. It was insane.

I had the XT1 and then 'upgraded' to the XT2 because I wanted more of a hybrid Photo/Video camera. For stills, there is something about the X-T1 images that I prefer over the X-T2 and thankfully never sold the X-T1 so have gone back to using it. Paired with the Fuji 23mm 1.4, it produces beautiful images!

What I love about the X-T1 is the size being 'just right'. The X-T2 is big and 'professional', whereas the X-T1 feels like pure joy to me. Wish they'd go back to that size and I'd happily trade in features to accomplish that.

Interesting video - thanks! I have been all over Fuji as an ambassador for Fuji for 6 years. And I have always said that the sensor i the X-T1 is absolutely the best APS-C sensor Fuji has ever made ;-)

Agree 110%. The XT-1 is a special camera. May not have the quickest autofocus or the latest video capabilities, but the X-Trans 2 sensor with the right lens makes great images. And, also it is Made in Japan :-)

Thanks. You've convinced to keep my X-T1 that I purchased in 2019. I just received a Olympus EM-1 mkiii with four lenses. An absolute spaceship of a camera with amazing image capture and features. I do love it. I sold two fuji lenses and was thinking of selling the rest and the camera. I use the 27mm f2.8, what fantastic all arounder combination. It's good around a party table, on the street, small and powerful. (why was I going to sell it again?) I'll keep it now along with my 7artisan 12mm and fuji 35mm f2. Good video thanks.

Someone left the bathroom door open and the light on,
so I'm having trouble concentrating on watching this video.

Ehhh….. GREAT review. I love my Fuji cameras but as a reportage-wedding photographer I loathed the x-t1 due to the utterly poor auto focus. I’ve shot weddings on the x-t3 and this is a stunning all round body. But now I’ve borrowed the x-t5 from Fuji I am blown away by the focus capabilities. Also, I like I
IBIS for using old Russian lenses so for me the -xt5 is the best all-rounder and I no longer need two bodies: the X-H1 can go..
I agree all your other views re other lenses.

I’ve been shooting Fujifilm for a few years now. Had a few at first to test the waters, wound up choosing the X-T1 & X -E2 as my keepers, preferring them over later models, with which I’m still not tempted. As a single frame shooter who doesn’t give a hoot about video, these two (same sensor) suit me like a glove in more weighs than one 👌

Totally agree. Great EVF, weather sealed and a flippy screen. Images are sooo organic. I feel that the x trans II might just be the best sensor of all time.
