Based on this video I gave this option a try, down to the brand. I had to look up my laptop specs online to confirm that my usb c port allowed video out. It worked. Lenovo Legion 5 laptop to HP P223 monitor.

With what unit of measure have you determined that this is a high quality cable. You didn't mention anything about it meeting VESA Certification so is it just something you're drop shipping on Amazon? What makes this a good cable when a VESA Certified one is the best?

Although I do not have this, or a similar cord, I use a dongle that plugs into my laptop's USB Type-C port, and has a port for your standard DisplayPort cable. I may give this kind of product a look sometime in the near future, however.

I know this is an old video, but I just got this cable in today and it didn’t work. It seems you can only get a video signal from USB-C to DP NOT the other way around? I tried using the DP from my PC to a Monitor with a USB-C. Doesn’t work. Anyone find a a 3 Meter cable that the video signal works from the DP side to the USB-C??

Should I use USB-C to displayport adapter/converter or a single cable for gaming. My laptop supports TH4. And I want to connect it to a 240hZ gaming monitor. My found some TH3/4 to DP cables but is it better than USB-C to displayport adapter/converter ?

Can I plug the DP end of the cable to a Nvidia GTX 1050ti graphic card which has a DP, to a monitor that has a USB-C port that supports DisplayPort Alternate Mode? Reason I am asking is because the monitor I have(Gigabyte M32U) has a KVM function capability and only support the KVM function if the source coming from the PC is USB-C DP Alternate mode like most laptops today, but in my case I have a desktop with a dedicated graphics card with DP as well as HDMI. Just wondering what type of cable I need to get it to work.
