the new wheels are a whole lot lighter and stronger than the earlier performance wheels. Far less unsprung weight improves acceleration and handling.

The earlier Model 3 Performance frunk had convenient shopping bag hooks to hold bags in place under acceleration and around sharp corners. Dropping the fog lights is not good for me. Low down lights nearer the road surface improve lateral illumination under all conditions. The lack of chrome around the windows and the removal of the cellphone charging pad cover also make the interior a little less smooth and similar to many other brands who have exposed wireless charging pads. I like the new seats yet overall, the 2024 model is not enough to get me to switch from my 2019 M3P. Thanks for the video!

I noticed the increased steering effort on my new 2024 perf 3 too. I usually choose the “heavy” steering option - and that’s what I had on my prior long range AWD model 3 but with this one I found the steering effort particularly as you get closer to full lock to be less pleasant - so I set the steering to light.

Like you mentioned, I wondered if this is due to the larger and wider wheels on the new model. I kind if doubt it’s down to the steering wheel.

No turn-signal stalk on the new one. I think that would drive me crazy. When I’m in my 2018 model 3 and I want to pass with FSD engaged I’ll add some right foot and click the turn signal. The car then checks the lane is clear and moves over. I’m going to miss that.

The new rims look way better with the long aero covers removed.

Once you do that, there’s no competition - the warp wheels look way better than the turbines.

The only negative is boy do they get dusty quick - the new brake pads seem to create way more brake dust than the older model.

Amazing that Tesla could build another boring looking car! I’m still trying to decide which one is the worst looking of the bunch. Most likely the Y but the Truck is close second. Unfortunately, they will all grow old poorly.
