This is the new Tesla Model 3 Performance!

Tesla has upgraded the performance version of its smallest car. The question is, how much has it changed over the previous car?

One of the biggest changes isn’t visible from the outside of the car. It’s now fitted with adaptive dampers, so when you go into track mode it allows you to adjust the power distribution - perfect for if you’re looking to pull some skids!

When it comes to the design, it’s all pretty similar to the previous car. Up front, there are some new headlights, as well as a redesigned front bumper and the inclusion of a splitter. Along the side, the looks are pretty much identical, and at the rear, there’s a carbon fibre boot lip spoiler, and there’s also an updated bumper and diffuser.

Step inside, and once again it’s all pretty similar. There’s a big screen on the dash (as always) coupled with some carbon fibre effect material, while there's also a new pair of sports seats. There are also no stalks on the steering wheel - indicators are now controlled by buttons instead! Apart from that, it’s all pretty identical to the previous car.

One key change for this car is the addition of a new, higher-performance motor on the rear axle. As a result, the new Model 3 Performance can now produce 460hp! It’s fitted with the same 75kWh battery pack as before, which is apparently good for a range of up to 328 miles.

Matt is so used to insane cars that even though this car is super quick to accelerate, all we get on the first launch is a dry "That's quick..." 🤣

In the US, we get m3p with 510 hp. People have been doing 1/4 mile in 10.9 seconds consistently

The performance has so many improvements over the long range i cant understand why anyone would give up the better motor, brakes, suspension, chassis, seats and performance settings unless they were on a tight budget.

The scrubbing sound is the mud flap touching down. It does that when the suspension is fully compressed.

8:48 You can literally see the go pro stuck to driver side front fender that'd what's causing the phantom bike rider and the ghosts... the Tesla cams and live overlay are usually quite accurate.

Cool review as always, Mat 🙂 However, white seats are not standard (£1000 extra), and the carbon fiber "effect" is, in fact, genuine carbon fiber

As i am little bit expert i battery tech if you keep speeding the car you put alot of pressure in the battery which degrade the battery quicker

Love that the white interior is included on the door panels. My MYP 2023 only has a small section of the door white.
