I honestly think theirs was the best wedding of all of them. It was a beautiful scene and the jokes didn't detract from it. Howard and Bernadette's wedding was cute but it felt ruined by all the opening statements, and Leonard and Penny's wedding (ceremony) there was too much going on with the guests. At least for Sheldon and Amy everyone was focused on then, like a wedding should be.

The actors themselves were very close friends, so I imagine some of the emotion was real. The actress who played Amy was ideal light in that role. Jim Parsons, on the other hand, had married his longtime partner in real life.
