How to Exfoliate Your lips Using a Toothbrush | Under 1 Minute

Hey guys, this video shows how to exfoliate your lips using a toothbrush in less than a minute. This is my quick and easy tip on how to prepare your lips for any kind of lipstick; particularly matte lipsticks.

For people who don't wanna try this and who's lips are bleeding, just use a natural/glossy lipgloss to help your lips be softer and silker. I recommend Broadway (Mango Flavor Lipgloss) it works best and I got it from CVS, It has lots of vitamins to help your lips. I also recommend using vaseline lip coco butter. It helps a lot aswell, but don't EVER lick your lips it doesn't help at all, it just makes your lips drier. It helps for like 5-10 mins but then, it's just the same problem.

If you wanna do this, than use a clean toothbrush. If you don't have a clean toothbrush, then use a toothbrush previously used but wash it good so no bacteria gets transferred over to your lips. Use the toothbrush and go in a circle motion, SOFTLY if you apply lots of pressure it will make your lips very red and it ends up cracking, and bleeding.

Make sure to put some vaseline/lip balm/lipgloss before you exfoliate. Trust me, you will need it.

after that you should have silky smooth lips!

This worked really well. A good substitute for lip balm would definitely be white petroleum jelly. I used that instead and the results were pretty good. I just kept on applying the petroleum jelly with my finger and used the toothbrush gently. I applied it repeatedly since the petroleum jelly would come off easily with the toothbrush. After some trial and error I got most of the dead skip off my lips in the end and put on chapstick to make it look smoother.

Actually you need to dip the toothbrush in water then brush your lips GENTLY! Don't force and make your lips bleed.

I used a rougher toothbrush, so i scrubbed gentler to avoid hurting my lips. Make sure your lips are wet and your toothbrush is clean. Btw, my lips were silky smooth after a few mins

I do it while brushing every night with toothpaste and water so that it doesn't apply a bit of baby cream or tbh, I apply coloured pink lip balms that are moisturizing, so that the next day my lip will have a long lasting smoothness with slight pink colour

No! please don't do this! this is bad for your lips! it causes more cracking, bleeding, and discomfort! just use a regular lip scrub or chapstick

Some people in the comments aren't doing this right, but it worked for me. This is what i did specifically. Remember this might not work on you because we have different types of lips:

•Instead of using lipbalm I got a clean cloth and soaked it in warm (not too hot just like lukewarm but a bit on the warm side) water for like 10 seconds (I think? I don't really measure the time) and I patted it on my lips gently. (It's ok if you don't follow this, I just like to do this step because it makes my lips softer)

•I get my *_CLEAN NOT USED BEFORE TOOTHBRUSH WITH SOFT BRISTLES_* (don't get your toothbrush that you use on your teeth because the germs on the teeth when you brush your teeth gets transferred to your toothbrush and it may likely cause an infection. And use one with a soft bristle so you can't irritate the lips)

•I wet the toothbrush

•I brush my lips *_GENTLY_* in circular motion and horizontally both on the top and bottom part of the lip. Don't brush your lips vertically because it drags the skin of your lips and irritates it a little bit. (I don't really know the time but I just stop when I feel like it's enough)

•I wash my toothbrush

•I repeat the first step

•Finally I put my lipbalm (Use the lipbalm of your choice.)

*DO NOT EXFOLIATE FOR MORE THAN TWICE A WEEK BECAUSE IT DAMAGES YOUR LIPS. Lip exfoliation must be done at night so that they have time to heal before being exposed to the sun.*

It does works for people who have dead skin cells covering your lips. If your lips are too soft don't do it or use the brush gently. Lips skin is softer than the rest of the skin

i did this... difference is the top layer of skin on my lips were actually ready to come off, yours just became more red.
