Y’all trippin… “it’s just a birthmark” some people are on this show because they went out and got surgery that resulted in discomfort and physical damage . This woman was born with something that causes her discomfort emotionally and physically . Especially if it’s “growing” like they said in the video and causing her discomfort… like they also said in this episode.

To the "it's just a birthmark" idiots. It's actually a mole - birthmarks don't grow. And the fact that the mole is still growing in an area on her neck where the skin is tightening, is causing her neck problems. I'm assuming it might also be difficult for her to sleep sometimes if she's in pain with it. Add to the fact that there is a strong possibility of it becoming cancerous as it grows even bigger than it already is, tells me the problem is all too real for it to be removed fairly urgently - imo. I think E! Entertainment has been misleading in their title calling this an "abnormal birthmark." It's far more than that.

I had this surgery. I was born with a funky birthmark on my neck, same place as hers. It was growing at an alarming pace and my pediatrician had my mom take me to a specialist for removal by my second birthday. I have a residual scar that is about 2" behind my ear and down my neck.

I have a huge birthmark on the back of my neck too. I've been to doctors for it. I understand how it can be emotionally painful

I understand exactly how she feels. I have a melanocytic nevus that was only a dot when I was a baby and has taken over my left shoulder area. I tattooed over it and it has now started spreading to the right side. I have hoped through the years that a laser would come out that would be suitable for my skin type. It’s not just a birth mark. It can take an emotional toll on your self esteem. People always stare at it, ask about it, etc. Its usually the folks who don’t have the problem to say “ it’s just a birthmark” but if I could give it to you and not have it you won’t take it.

You know you've watched to many of these show when you start thinking like a doctor. I was honestly thinking tissue expander myself. With here being dark skinned if you just cut the birth mark out the skin growing back would most like be much lighter and more noticeable. With an expander you'll have more skin to work with and a much smaller scar.

She has a pretty, natural face. At least it’s on her neck. I knew someone who had it completely on their face. But, after awhile it doesn’t even faze u.

I have this tipe of the mark on top of my head, but its like circle of 2cm, i can hide it with hair but since my hair is very thin I still a lot of time find myself going trough my hair to make shure its hidden. People can be very rude and when they see smt different on you they right away ask questions or comment. My docors didnt even know what it is, I searched on internet to find out.

Oh feel for her, i have a large port wine stain birthmark.
I would be concerned about pressure on blood vessels in that area, using an expander there could be tricky.
Good luck!
