To those barking about BSc, average package of BStat (which is basically BSc in Statistics) from ISI is around 30 lakh per annum. Believe me Statistics, Data Science & AI is going to surpass CSE soon, considering how much demand there is for Statistics.
And I say this as someone who has had Statistics as a subject in his Higher Secondary. I am aware about all opportunities in it. In fact, people nowadays are choosing Economics, Statistics and Mathematics over PCM.
Although I myself am a PCM guy. Statistics was my optional elective.

I am doing currently integrated MSC in statistics....you will not get this amount of salary after bsc...but if you have done masters in statistics from a reputed University ..then you can expect this much of salary as a fresher or if you are a student of ISI, then you can get a pretty much salary..like 20 to 30 LPA per annum ....even more in some of cases.And if you are doing your masters from an unreputed university then you can expect 4 to 6 lpa and sometimes 6 to 8 lpa....

That's the problem of many students they don't research before getting into a course and then the time comes of job then they realise that the inhand salary is not even 3 lpa and this cource was useless and then they switch to something else after few years 😕

ISI se BStat aur Mstat karne pe average 30 lpa hai aur highest 60+ hai Bstat level par bhi average 15 -20 lpa tk jaata hai. But maths is tougher than jee advance and you have to also qualify interview after two level of written exam. Also There are only 25 seats for general 😂

Stat is a really good major, if done from ISI Kolkata. But the placement is only after Mstat.
