In this video, I will be following a recipe that AI Chat GPT gave me to make whiskey.

I asked Chat GPT to make whiskey let's find out if it can make a good whiskey...
The prompt I used to ask the question and Chat GPT answer if you will like to give it a go...

Good Day Chat GPT, I will like you to assume the role of a consultant to a craft distillery, you are an expert in the field of creating exiting recipes for the craft, the distillery has approached you to assist them in creating a new whiskey mash to be added to there current range. Can you please explain the process of making the whiskey mash aswell as a suggested recipe to use to make the whiskey using the following grains malted barley, corn, oats, rye?

ChatGPT
Certainly, I would be happy to assist you as a consultant in creating a new whiskey mash for your craft distillery using malted barley, corn, oats, and rye.

The process of making whiskey mash involves mixing grains with water and allowing them to steep at a specific temperature to convert the starches in the grains into sugars. This process is known as mashing. The mixture is then cooled and yeast is added to ferment the sugars into alcohol. The resulting product is known as wash, which is then distilled to create whiskey.

Here's a suggested recipe for a whiskey mash using the grains you mentioned:

50% malted barley
25% corn
15% oats
10% rye
To create the mash, you'll need to follow these steps:

Grind the grains to a consistent texture.
Heat water to around 160°F (71°C) in a mash-tun or large pot.
Add the grains to the hot water and stir well.
Maintain a temperature of around 150°F (65°C) and let the mixture steep for about 60-90 minutes.
After the mash is complete, cool it to around 70°F (21°C) and transfer it to a fermenter.
Add yeast to the fermenter and let it ferment for about 3-5 days, or until the specific gravity of the wash stops changing.
Once the fermentation is complete, you can distill the wash to create your whiskey.
Keep in mind that the recipe and process can be adjusted based on your specific preferences and equipment. It's always a good idea to experiment with different ingredients and techniques to find the perfect recipe for your distillery's whiskey.

Skynet whiskey has a nice ring to it don't you think?! I saw you used cheese cloth or such inside your grain basket mate. What are the benefits? Does it help when dumping the weights on to squeeze them? As always good content bud.
