This is a very accurate portrayal of how this encounter would probably play out.

T. Rex’s bite alone is enough reason for the mosasaurus to keep its distance. It’s not worth the risk to attack a T. rex, even in water.

Even big predators (despite their size) wont go for another predator that can bite back or give physical harm. Though the mosasaur has an advantage in the water, it can be seen in clear water, and it may not wish to risk injury from a animal whose bite is probably the equal.

Animals also survive in numbers, its actually harder for predators to pick out their targets.

This is still a great documentary.

0:15-0:22 I see it, but I don’t believe it. A T.Rex AKA Tyrannosaurus Rex is swimming. It’s like the delete scene slash storyboard sequence “River Raft” that was originally planned for the Film Jurassic Park.

T-Rex is an Apex Predator, that is not prey for anything as an adult. So a Mosasaurus would never attack or eat an adult Rex, but a juvenile would be a different story.

If Attenborough says T.rex was a very effective swimmer that means it can cross lakes, reaching near islands and swimming kilometers in water, its water capacity its more effective than most land animals, better than tigers, bears and elephants.

Mosasaurus. A giant marine lizard, nearly 20ft longer than Tyrannosaurus & weighing 15 tons. It’s the largest & powerful predator on the planet.

Mosasaurus will hunt literally anything that moves, sharks turtles giant squid dinosaurs pterosaurs, even other mosasaurs. Tyrannosaurus may be the greatest predator on land, but in water, it is prey.
