Does Tai Lung need a redemption arc?

1. It's not only that tai lung was too far gone, it was also shifu's failure, for being great at teaching students, but terrible at raising children (maybe like obi wan with anakin)

2. Tai lung is too sympathetic and relatable to be left as he is, he should at least make amends with his father figure once and for all to also get that closure. If wu and morro from lego ninjago could do that, why not shifu and tai lung too

3. A redemption arc wouldn't be a disservice for his character. On the contrary, it would be a great conclusion if he's even offered to be the next dragon warrior and he rejects it, therefore proving that he's humble now and no longer obsessed with his selfish goal or cursed by the weight of expectations from others (it would actually be disservice if he remains the same and doesn't develop as a person at all). Is this really how tai lung should be used for the first time in 16 years? Only 1 minute screen time just to get his powers stolen and then right back to the spirit realm? Really? There are always second chances

4. Tai lung is not the first and won't be the last tragic villain to be redeemed, his villain legacy won't be ruined

Everyone has their own respective opinions, but it can always be better if wanted it to be

We don't think he'll turn into a good guy but Kung Fu Panda 4 is definitely not the last time we see him.

Would they bring his nephew from the series onto the movies to help redeem him? Seeing another prodigy go back needing his help? I haven't seen much beyond the nephews first introduction.

Well you obviously aren't very good at understanding characters. Yea that moment you spoke about was not the time for Tai Lung to be "redeemed", saying sorry is nice and all but Shifu raised a monster, the only way to remedy his anger and jealousy is for him to be defeated by the actual dragon warrior, and reflect on that defeat in the spirit world, he needed to be humbled. He never needed to be redeemed, but seeing him understand WHY Po earned the title and he didn't, and him finding peace with that reality is DEFINITELY deserved considering how he had so little choice over his fate, he was raised to be a killing machine, he deserves plenty more than he got

It was sifu’s fault in the first place. We saw how he treated dude, you know that apology was probably a lie 😂

Kung Fu Panda 4 was the worst of the Kung Fu Panda movies imo. If they had put more effort into the development of their villain, instead of the villain just being some shape shifting chameleon who wanted to learn martial arts but was rejected, and decided to become fucking Adolf Hitler, and they hadn’t just decided Po can become a full fledged dragon warrior for like 20 minutes between 3 and 4 before being told he has to get an apprentice, the movie would’ve been better. They couldn’t have made the apprentice part happen later?
