It basically the same reason Scarlett Johansson sued the MCU. They made a deal with her for how much she makes in the movie, but only paid her for traditional markets. When they opened the movie to their digital platform, they undercut her contracted percentage, claiming it was only tied to the traditional theater market take. Of course, in her situation they did have an exclusivity clause for the theater release being the sole medium for a certain period of time and the MCU violated that clause, so it's not completely the same.
Still, studios are making the same content for streaming as they did for traditional cable and their using semantics to try and get out of maintaining the same pay structure that's been in place for forever.
Plus, well, AI is a big turd looking over a lot of people. I don't think it's currently as bad as people are saying, because it's only ever pissed me off every time I've tried to use it. Ya, it gives you something nice, but it's really just a really nice looking turd pretty much every time. Not once has it really churned out anything of value. About the only people who currently seem to be killing it all the videos made by people claiming they are killing it and am willing to train you how to make a killing at AI too if you pay them to train you. Likely if you look clos, that all come with some disclaimer about not guaranteeing your success or something similar.
