Let’s Make a Graphite Transfer!
Показать описание
Are your students always amazed by the graphite transfer process? We'd love to hear your transfer tips!
Graphite transfers are more than tracing; they can be used in various ways:
✏️ Great for transferring a detailed or outline sketch onto the final piece of paper.
✏️ Can be used for repeating designs.
✏️ Useful for mimicking patterns or designs from other sources of inspiration, such as wallpaper, wrapping paper, or decorative paper.
✏️ Works well for tracing found images from magazines, catalogs, newspapers, or online printouts.
Here are the Steps:
1️⃣ Select source image - the paper should be non-glossy.
2️⃣ Use a soft graphite pencil, like 4B or 6B, and cover the back of the image.
3️⃣ Place the image on your artwork - use tape to secure if necessary.
4️⃣ Trace image with a sharp pencil or ballpoint pen.
5️⃣ Remove image to see the artwork - voila!
