👇 How I get my sketch on the canvas (with Graphite Transfer Paper)

And you can too.



👉 What you need:

* Graphite Transfer Paper
* Pencil or Ballpoint Pen
(And of course your sketch and canvas)



👉 How it’s done:

Tape the graphite transfer paper to the canvas.
The graphite side of the paper needs to face the canvas.

Tape your sketch (or a printed version of it) on top of the graphite transfer paper.

Use a sharpened pencil or ballpoint pen to trace over the sketch.

Now, the sketch should be visible on the canvas.

If you want to be on the safe side, just remove some tape, lift the sketch sketch up just a bit and and look if the complete sketch is visible on the canvas.

If yes, remove the rest of the tape, the original sketch and the graphite transfer paper.

Spray a little workable fixative on top of the lines or
use a clean rag to wipe off the excess graphite.

Otherwise, the graphite might smear and make your colors muddy.
