Entanglement explained in simple terms

Entanglement is considered one of the weirdest phenomena in the realm of quantum mechanics that fundamentally distinguishes it from classical physics. However, it doesn't allow faster-than-light communication. We explain these concepts in rather simple terms.

Queen Elizabeth and Prince Charles were entangled. When (it was observed that) the Queen was dead, Charles was King.

How does one know at one end, B, that the entangled particle at the other end, A, has been observed and its spin revealed?

Maybe I'm understanding wrong but we can measure that the other particle knows about its entangled partner instantaneously right?. Like we know the other particle knows. So even if we can't measure accurately the value of the particles can't we just check if the sister particle knows that something has happened to its partner? And couldn't that be used to send FTL information? Like lets say that there are 2 values of the particles 0 and 1 and we don't know the value of the particle until we measure it. Sure we cannot use that to send information directly, but when we change the value of one particle through measuring the other particle detects that. If we can see that a particle knows something happened to the other entangled particle we can just count the amount particles that know something has happened and use that to transmit information. So like if we assign meaning such as hello to 5 particles detecting changes on its partners, If we observe 5 particles on one side of an entanglement changing their state, then a person on the other side of the entangled particles can notice that 5 particles have changed and then he can interpenetrate that as "hello".

So, can you explain what causes the particles to become "entangled"?

Heard about it from veritasium channel and still don’t get it:) yep it is tricky thing in quantum mechanics
