It’s easy to lose track of a condiment in your fridge, especially if it’s one you don’t use all that often. Sure, mustard is great on some sandwiches, but you can’t use it on everything, so how long will that bottle really last? In addition, we’ve all accidentally left some of those little fast food condiment packets in there and forgotten about them, but are they still good to use? Unsurprisingly, it varies based on what condiment you’re talking about, but we’ve got all the details for you. Let’s take a look at how long condiments really last in your fridge.

#Condiments #Fridge #Kitchen

Ketchup and cocktail sauce | 0:00
Mustard | 0:51
Worcestershire and soy sauce | 1:29
Hot sauce | 2:01
Mayo and salad dressings | 2:33
Barbecue sauce | 3:07
And what about those little packets? | 3:45

If you could only stock one condiment in your fridge, which would it be?

I made a sandwich with mayo once. After, I tried to make another and I saw the expiration date was a year ago. I stared at the bottle for a second and then made another sandwich because the mayo tasted brand new. I never got sick. Expiration dates are bs if you use the fridge imo.

I'm going to go out on a limb here but I think that this video was paid for by people who would benefit from you throwing condiments away. Either that or the information comes from that source and is naively put up as fact. I've had ketchup mayo and mustard that's years old and there's nothing wrong with it. Don't go throwing your condiments away for no reason.

Does it smell bad?
No: eat it
Yes: still probably eat it anyways unless it smells really bad.

So what about the packets of schezuan sauce that were giving out at the start of the year?
I've got about 10 packets to resell them when R&M is relevant

Meh, I have a mustard from 2010 and I'm still using it on rare occasions and still taste like mustard.

I’ve used some condiments years after I opened them (usually ketchup or mustard) and they were fine. As long as there’s no mold or a weird smell, I’m not throwing it away.

Geez we have bottles of dressing and mustards we have had in the fridge for like a year or more and the dressing seemed just fine yesterday! I thought mustard didn’t ever spoil? I mean it’s an herb right? Just mixed with vinegar and wine

I just opened a bottle of A1 with a "best if used by" date of 12 Dec 2014. It tastes perfectly fine.

2:43 I have a problem, my jar of light mayo reads best if use by April 2019. Is that discard after 2 months correct?

I like Miracle Whip With Olive Oil and Spicy Brown Mustard. Some of you might not like it but my personal tastes do and if you do not like it then you do not have to buy it simple as that.
