I made a sandwich with mayo once. After, I tried to make another and I saw the expiration date was a year ago. I stared at the bottle for a second and then made another sandwich because the mayo tasted brand new. I never got sick. Expiration dates are bs if you use the fridge imo.

Either that or the information comes from that source and is naively put up as fact. I've had ketchup mayo and mustard that's years old and there's nothing wrong with it. I’ve used some condiments years after I opened them (usually ketchup or mustard) and they were fine. As long as there’s no mold or a weird smell, I’m not throwing it away.
