Little known fact. Pyramid sets were how the ancient Pyramids of Egypt were built.

I personally do reverse pyramid training within a rep range, 1st working set is 4-6 reps then 8-10 and finally 10-12.

This is interesting, I've been doing pyramids a lot lately. I love them on plate loader machines like the hammer press because I can throw on another plate (25, 35, 45 or whatever) 5 reps per set until I hit my peak weight and then I go AMRAP after that removing a plate after each set.

Usually 3 warmup sets, 1 set at max weight (around 85% of 1rm), and 3 working sets on the way down the pyramid.

This has worked well for me on pulls and presses

Dr Who theme music and your creation in this video would make an awesome remix.
All the best

Can you tell me what the music track is that starts at 2:42? I hear it at the end of your videos when you bust a move. I Need it for working out. Thanks Mountain!

Great video, buddy. I mostly do pyramids. 20, 15, 10 rep. If I do an extra set, then it will be like 5 reps or I'll just go back to my first set and get as many reps I can just to put more blood in the muscle. Mountain

Pretty much hit pyramids on everything at this point. It’s fun!
On compounds 15/12/10/8/6+ and that final set is basically to failure. On isolations I do 12/10/8/8+ last set to failure.

Again, right on point with the accommodation and coordination of nervous system to heavier weight!
No one else speaks of these subtle but important things.
Couple of weeks ago I pushed heavy on my floor press and I noticed that my form was breaking down through the set, RPE 8-9 no problem, obviously muscles weren't limiting factor, but I just couldn't get proper bar path after first few reps.
Next session I backed down just a tiny bit, the weight felt almost the same, managed maybe just 1 more rep but I got my coordination back and then again heavier session after that was successful with good coordination and groove.

What does your weekly routine look like? P/P/L, 4 day split?

I have always been a fan of pyramid training, but it requires patience, but what the hell, I'm not doing anything else for the next 40 minutes, it's perfect if you don't have a plan etched in stone. Mountain.

I’m going to the gym now, after watching this. I’ve been doing pyramids for benches and curls. Now I’ll do them similar to what you showed here. Thanks Jason! 🏔️

I guess the difference between pyramid vs warming up on your way to working sets would be in a pyramid you only do one set of your top set?

Slow motion affects kick ass, mountain ⛰️ !!!

So you do feeder sets to get to your working weight for how many reps? Do you only do this to break a plateau?

How much Tren can I take before I'm no longer natural? I want to be ripped 300 lbs and bench press 600 lbs but I want to be natural.

Lol, fitting video for me and a question for you Jason ! I noticed Ronnie coleman, shawn ray, sergio olivia for example (although theyre not natural) trained each muscle also 2 times week. I do 3 times a week.

But they do the following for example: 15 reps, add weight, 15 reps add weight, 15 reps add weight for 3-4 sets until you hit your max set for 15. Same for 8 reps. I did this, only on the high rep day 25-40 reps i did all to failure.

I felt WAY more full instead of doing all sets to failure which i always have done. And funny thing is people noticed it immediately even random people.

What would you think of this ? I know you tried everything in terms of training but just wanna know your thoughts on going up in weight while keeping the reps the same.
