To be prolife does not consist in advocating for the unborn only. That is anti-abortion or pro-birth only. To be prolife means fighting for the unborn and the born - the unloved, unwelcomed (immigrants), unfed, unhoused, unfree (Mt 25:31-46). A Catholic prolifer votes for politicians, parties, and platforms which cover and care for the most of these lives from womb to tomb, from conception to natural death.

OK I will get a lot of hate for this statement, but it needs to be heard. I do not believe in abortion for an unwanted pregnancy! However, there are major issues where abortion is NECESSARY. When the mother is in the progress of losing the baby (detached placenta, death of the baby in uterus, early labor where the fetus is not viable) then an abortion is necessary. When the mother's life is in danger of death. At this recent time many areas of the country have laws written that abortion is not permitted under any circumstance. Presently, there is no way to save a mother's life unless the medical practitioner is willing to be arrested. We live in a world where everything is NOT black or white. We must pray to the Lord Our God to be able to discern the correct path. My above statement is made as a Registered Nurse with 30 years of practice. PLEASE do not categorize all abortion into one category. This is a matter for medical professional, patients, and families to discuss along with pray for the safety of both the mother and the unborn. One sizes does not fit ALL. God Bless Everyone.

I am not in favor of abortion, however, I am also not in favor of the government interfering on this matter. It is not the government's place. I am a lifelong Catholic, but I cannot in good conscience vote for DJT under any circumstances.

The end comment was lame - this election has profound consequences from the spiritual perspective and most of us here know it. Trump's position on abortion replicates that of Bishop Barron. Be courageous like Jesus and make a decision to clean up his father's house. Compare these issues, grade them be decisive and take a stand. We need courageous leadership in the church
