I see more Mexican and Hispanic priest’s. Unlike regular pastors, Catholic priest’s go through tough discernment and years upon years of schooling.
Not only that, but once a priest Days off are not really a thing.
You work all day everyday and must travel to different places all the time.
They really do sacrifice so much. It’s the most selfless job out there.

This is my parish! I attend the Sunday Spanish mass at 1pm regularly, and the reverence you feel surrounded by so many other Catholics is beautiful…My family loves attending mass here when they visit from out of town.

In regards to the sex abuse scandal, what nobody seems to understand is that evil is everywhere. 😢
Other denominations have about 10% of pastors involved in the same evil. It's not a Catholic Church problem as much as its an evil world problem. We only had 2%--which is horrific, and lower.

The average size of a parish increased by 60% in this report yet in our city the 3 Catholic churches merged into one parish and the weekend masses dwindled from at least 10 down to 5. This trend is across the Midwest.
