Don’t really have an issue with the rule change but don’t sit here and spoon feed us the lie that the change was primarily due to the “NFL’s concern over player safety”. We know the NFL doesn’t care about the players. The change is being talked about due to the increased excitement it will add and the possibility of big plays increasing fan investment. This isn’t about the players, it’s about the views.

I’m ok with a game being decided on kick and punt returns if it comes down to the wire. What I’m not ok with is you helping a team score while also trying to use the excuse of it will lower concussions. It’s BS, it will be easier to return TDs. How easy that remains to be seen but it’s like when they changed the hip tackle rule. It wasn’t to protect player safety. It was to protect Mahomes because he got hurt in that Jags playoff game😂

The touchback rate will not change since the kicker is still kicking from the 35 and most kicks end up in the end zone. They should have moved the kickoff back to the 30

Kickoffs caused injuries when returners made a return. Otherwise there were very few collisions. This will increase the number of returns and basically force collisions on every single kickoff. We'll see.

I prefer the Canadian Football League's kickoffs. This rule might make the kickoff safer, but it will drastically reduce the number of return touchdowns and kickoff excitement.

I wonder if kickers are just going to squib the kick when the kickoff happens eliminating any type of run back

If pitchers found a way to use the clock to their advantage I’m sure kickers will find a technique to their advantage and exploit it throughout the season

The rules may change but you can always find a loophole

Pirate Mode rule: "The Parlay": anytime during the 4th Quarter, the loosing team, with possession of the ball, can offer to buy the game with "1 TD scoring drive" to win the game (maybe, restrict this ability based on size of deficit). The $ is a bet from owner-to-owner of any size they please.

5 yards apart is not enough space. Should move everybody closer to the 50 by 5 yards and split them by 10 yards ....that would be acceptable.

This is a joke, they really adopted the XFL kickoff, my question is, WHAT ABOUT ONSINE KCKS!?!? this is weird and def won't limit injuries. This is the NFL, non contact injuries can end your entire year
