R.C. Sproul: What Is Evil & Where Did It Come From?

Many skeptics have challenged the consistency of the Christian worldview, arguing that evil could not have originated in a universe created by a wholly good God. Therefore, since evil exists, the universe could not have been created by a wholly good God. The challenge is not new, and in this lecture, Dr. R.C. Sproul explains the Christian response to this age-old challenge.

I know he is at home with Jesus enjoying His presence this very moment, but we miss RC, don’t we?

I knew this all along, but RC spells it out for me that I can not miss it: Man has been avoiding responsibility for his actions from the beginning of time.

Every time I listen to this, I'm reminded of the importance of this topic, hearing things that need to be spoken from modern-day pulpits. Praise God for His grace and faithfulness to communicate the same!

RC was a GREAT speaker. No matter the Theological subject, RC can speak fluently about it.

I wish I would've come across this gentleman about 15yrs ago. But that wasnt part of God's plan for me. But I've got his teachings playing constantly now every question I've had with the Bible this man has made crystal clear. He's made my studying so much easier and I can now teach others with more confidence than I had prior. I hope all r.c.'s questions are being explained as I type this.

What I love about RC is he is honest enough to say He does not know. Not many teachers and preachers do that.

Since 1971-72 I have (very much) listened to and read R C's writings...and loved all he has done. To take all the subjects on that which he has done and, for me, always staggered me with his God-given ability to make/enable me to grasp the truth...or even enable me to grasp a part of these things that nobody else ever came close to...or they never even tried to take these monumental questions on. He was very intelligent, yet he would be able to look upon the simplest of us and somehow very gently leave us with things to take away from whatever he was teaching.
I am happy he is in heaven with his God and Savior in complete bliss, though I am still often wanting to see that beautiful face, hear that voice that I never tire of. Thank you Lord for such a man, such a wonderful friend as R. C.

Thankful and grateful to the Almighty for using this man to bring us good tidings! Such a blessing to hear and learn theology from a man that has passion in sharing! All glory be unto Him!

What woke me up was getting stuck on the word “sin” and the concept that says “the wages of sin is death” and I realized I did not want to work for evil and therefore DIE, especially when I knew I was born in this body to overcome death - which through Jesus, this has been accomplished, but not by me, but by Christ Jesus, alive in me!

This teaching now becomes my primary focus for study. I am a serious student and have an extensive background in actually LIVING what Dr Sproul expounds so eloquently. My way of understanding “sin” is to think of it as an acronym where S stands for selfishness; I stands for ignorance; and N stands for negativity.
How I wish I could talk with this great thinker now, but GOD would have me wait until I’m ready.
