This is awesome. I even liked the 10 minute hot mess undercoat stage. I am new to pastels but this has encouraged me to keep working with them. Thank you so much for sharing.

You have such an enormous gift in your being able to "see" all the colors you use. Once they are all down and put together, they make complete and awesome sense! I so admire your talent! Wish I could paint as you. You make it seem so simple! And I think this work, above, has got to be probably may favorite of all of yours! God bless.

I love the way you teach. I have missed seeing your tutorials. For some reason I no longer get notifications for the people I subscribe to on YouTube.

I'm absolutely facinated by your choice of colors as you build your layers. That along with your loose touch of applying your marks as well as your sense of having fun while painting inspires me to carry on in my efforts. Whenever anyone asks me on how to get started I always suggest your tutorials. One of your marshland tutorials is what started me on this lovely journey into pastel painting. Thank you Karen, for sharing your amazing knowledge.

Excellent thankyou! So many of my non artist friends ask me when I know when a picture is finished but I actually would rather have it slightly under finished rather than overdone! I've had some pics I've not been happy with that I've totally overworked and they've lost all their spontaneity and gesture
