Err did you leave your basin wrench in the truck but had your oscillating tool with you?

He calls it a hack cause he hacks up the bottom side of the countertop

I would have just used a basin wrench on those immaculate threads and not had aluminum shavings everywhere.

Hey boy, hack is right. Back in my day we used a basin wrench with a holdback like a REAL MAN!

Oh my God this is the best. Not because of what he is using it for right now but because there are other instances where I could definitely used this hack

Wow that works excellent on a new faucet.

there's nothing rusted about them bolts they would come off easy with a basin wrench or pliers

Unless theyre super corroded they usually come off with a wrench.

Only time i ever need to do this is on really old corroded taps. Bent a basin wrench or two trying before.

This faucet looks easy to disassemble, some are frozen with Calcium buildup and this method works best

Thanks a million for sharing, this technique worked a treat for me!

Why not just use a wrench? It came off way too easy to have been stuck.

With the deeper sinks and just about no room for us man size techs, you're damn right you'll use the fastest method to remove the old unit! Great job as usual!

Had to do that many times. But that lock nut didn’t look that bad. Basin wrench??

Hey boy, back in my day we used to use a little tool called channel lock pliers😡🤬😂😂

The vibration will knock it loose. Same if you used a hammer to tap before unscrewing the nut. Works on anything with threads.

Why you do that with a clean new fitting? Oh, trolling! Love it.

Usually that type of set up you tighten slightly and then tighten the screws. Very easy and quick. Even without the screws. Idk the sinks I work on are never this clean or new looking. If I did this id get metal shards of green copper that oxidize in my eyes or lungs.

Why are people hating? I hope they're not plumbers. I use my dewalt oscillating tool anytime my basin wrench wont get it to budge (which is pretty often). They're amazing for residential plumbing in tight spaces

This situation could cost you hours!!!! If u have this tool and that blade . It will coast you minutes. There are a lot of people who put sinks in that aren't plumbers and didn't care about service plumbers. Sometimes there's no way we can get our wrench in and even a basin wrench won't work. This tool saves the day no matter what. Hands down Best tool the working man didn't know existed
