i dont really worry about battery life, i play on my steam deck exclusively at night before I go to bed on a charger using AR glasses and an xbox controller, so Im only limited to the battery life of the controller.

I wished me a Merry Christmas this year by purchasing the 1TB Steam Deck OLED. This is the 2nd best money I have ever spent in my life, 2nd only to my high-end Roland drum set. lol

Got a 512GB LCD as a gift and have no fear of missing out. Sure, the faster RAM and OLED screen would be nice, but as a gift and being able to play the same games as the OLED I'm not complaining.

I own 4 Decks...I bought two new (OLED & LCD), but got two on Facebook Marketplace super cheap from people that thought the batteries were fried. Wouldnt hold a charge for more than 20 mins. I just used this battery optimizing/reset thing in Desktop mode and now they last for hours 🤣

unlike most steam deck channels, this channel gives me a gamers nexus vibe, i feel like i can listen to you yap for hours which is important for me as a cancer patient because i get overstimulated VERY easily and shut down quickly but i find your voice and style very relaxing and easy to listen to

I have an LCD and since I don't have an OLED to compare it to, I don't really have much incentive to upgrade for now. Also, I don't usually play for more than an hour since when I am at home I usually use my desktop pc. I also have a portable charger for when I go on trips etc.

Last night I did connect my Steam Deck to Steam Link on my iPad Pro with an ESR keyboard, a cordless mouse, and a Saiji lap platform in bed and played some DOOM (testing out a more laptop like experience, with tech that I already own).

I disagree with saying that no one plays games at native resolution on handheld devices. I am a souls fan. And all of the souls games (not including Elden Ring or Armored Core) all run at native resolution and 60fps. Actually almost all of my games run fine at native resolution. Not all of them get 60fps, but they are playable.

We NEED Steam OS on desktop pc soon please. Before EOL (End of Life) of windows 10.
Nobody want use bloated windows 11 on desktop PCs. Please get GTX/RTX support.

We also need steam console imo. Zen 3 or Zen 4 APU, 6c/8c, 12t/16t / 16 GB DDR4/5 / 16 GB GDDR6 RDNA3 or better (256bit bus) / SSD / 4 - 6 usb 3x and 3+ HDMI or DP. - using steam OS.
Not bloated windows 11

Or Maybe steam console with only GDDR6 RDNA3 or better (256bit bus) using Zen 3/ zen 4 APU.

I like larger physically sized screens on the handhelds, my eyes are old and less capable than they used to be, but I agree they don't need increase the resolution to match the increase in size.

Im gonna switch the first day valve release Steam OS. I gonna miss lol and some competitve games but i guess is a fair trade to help the gaming community to grow in the correct way.

I just picked up a second hand SD OLED Limited Edition for less than retail. Pumped! Fingers crossed I don’t regret it when the Legion Go S released. 🤞🏼

AMD really obfuscated the differences in the chips and its pretty confusing. The Z2 Extreme is Zen 5c and Zen3 cores, the Z2 is basically the Z1 Extreme, and the Z2 Go is RDNA2 so its essentially a steam deck chip with 4 more graphics cores. Thats probably going to be mitigated by the higher resolution of the Go S so its more of a wash.
