Thx. MOM
... for keeping my Redlines
from when I was a kid
I'm thrilled to still have them
in my 60s now and still love them.

I was playing with an old metal detector behind my mom's house a few years ago and found an old brown 1977 Hot Wheels Hot Bird. First time a metal detector ever actually worked for me lol

Wow, talk about memory flashbacks, when I was a kid every spare dime went to Hotwheels! Really appreciate videos like this, informative and detailed, thank you.

Great old ads. I had the Snake & Mongoose set as a kid. 👍

AWESOME VIDEO!! And the pièce-de-résistance, the Sizzlers commercial narrated by Rod “The Twilight Zone” Serling!

My E-Bay business was die-cast. I sold vintage die-cast from all the main makers from Lesney/Matchbox - Corgi - Dinky which were my favourite as my grandfather, a five foot Eff all Yorkshire Englishman who was far too courageous for his own good, got me into my life long love of the old vintage British die-cast.

But I also sold Hot Wheels black walls and Red Lines.
Unless you have the more collectable expensive models, selling die-cast is never going to work on E-Bay because you have to charge far too much to make any kind of profit than what the cars are normally worth.

It was great for a couple of ears, but the rates kept creeping up and up, then the sneaky back door fees etc. I had to get out, and it broke my die-cast heart!

LOVE THE CHANNEL DON!

Just wanted to say thanks. I’ve been watching your channel for sometime. I finally started selling on eBay. I’ve got a niche right now and it’s paying off. I’m striving to make sure I get the package to the customer and in quick time. I had one that got listed 2x somehow and both sold. The gentleman who lost out wasn’t happy. But I won him over by not only refunding his $ but selling him several other items and gave him a discount!
Keep up the great video infos.

LOL!! "blowing them up in the back yard" yeah...as a Mom of 3 boys, sounds familiar...these prices are literally INSANE. It's a bitty toy car...Lordy. I always liked Matchbox cars better...sure wish I still had the ones I got as a kid!

I love your fireworks story! I once tried to ride my brother's pet fish around in the cars. Not a good outcome.

So cool, thanks for the upload! This will help me on what to look for! Loving all of the muscle cars, especially the green ones. Also never knew that Rod Serling (The Twilight Zone host) voiced a California 8 Sizzlers commercial! Well done blending those in by the way...made it even better to watch. Keep it up and again, thanks! 😁

Absolutely love this video, thanks for taking the time to make it and share with us. I do distinctly remember as a six year old Christmas of 1974….getting that downhill drag set. I love the, “White Finish Gate.” In addition, I saw my favorites, the “Porsche 917, Steam Roller and the Winnipeg.” These toys will forever own a deep recess in my mind of pure happiness as a child. Thanks again👍❤️🏎

I have a good few of those hot wheel cars still in the packets like the treasure cars. I remember going to a Kroger store and seeing an unopened box with nothing but treasure cars and I bought the entire box worth. "Was about 20 treasure cars in the box."
