Retro games grow more and more expensive every year, so you better hold on to your collection! For this list, we’ll be looking at pricey retro games that you may have in your collection. We won’t be including any special editions or games specifically made in limited quantities. Because let’s face it, you probably don’t have a copy of the 1990 Nintendo World Championships just lying around. Also, we’re only talking about American releases of these games. Our countdown includes "Futurama: The Video Game" (2003), "Earthbound" (1995), "Suikoden II" (1999), "Kuon" (2004), and more! Do you have any of these gems? What’s the rarest game in your collection? Let us know in the comments below.

I remember buying Silent Hill 2 in the clearance section of Gamestop for $5 back in the day. We then sold it cause our PS3 wasn't backwards compatible. Now, it's a $130 game and I couldn't be more upset lol

I nearly traded in my Silent Hill 1 copy when I was 16, but was declined because I was underage. The gods were on my side that day. Now I have a huge collection of Silent Hill games that would've been such a regret hahaha

Everyone knows that graded crap is highly inflated bull crap. Game collecting in general has become nothing more than a joke because of these "high prices"

6:05 Probably should've used fotage of the Gameboy Mega Man V when you were specifically talking about the Gameboy version; you're just adding to the confusion you mentioned.

I stupidly sold my copy of Earthbound + guide to my friend for 20 bucks. Yeah, I'm a stupid guy. One of the biggest regrets I've had.

I actually have an OG copy of the PS1 Silent Hill with it's complete case and booklet intact.

I'm so glad I bought a copy of the Futurama game for my ps2. It was used but for some reason I felt I needed it cause I love the show. Only paid 35 for it.

I'll never sell my copy of Silent Hill. That first trip to that quiet lakeside town was the nightmare of my dreams!

Went to a mom and pops video game store on Black Friday this year and found a loose copy of Chrono Trigger for the DS. Ended up paying $13 for it. Looked it up on Amazon and it's wasn't even available new or used. Only the Japanese Import was available between $66-$156. Talk about a steal. 😁

I was fortunate enough to track down a beauty of a CIB copy of Chrono Trigger for the SNES in late 2019, not long before prices went crazy

Kind of regret selling my CIB copy of Earthbound and the scratch and sniff stickers were fully intact, but the $500 was nice.

"Collectors" are often times high profile company people buying the games they have inside knowledge of being high value. Research it. The game grade market is run by the same people who buy the high ticket collectible games.

I have had stuff that was Valued at thousands of dollars each. Was never offered more than 100 for any of it. You have to find the right Idiot to get what the stuff was Valued ( full price) at because the people offering thousands or hundreds Less than what it was Valued at, Know this and are trying to get it as Cheap as they can, so they can resell it to the Idiots willing to pay full Price.

I still own bust a groove part one and two. I refuse to part with them even though people offer a lot of money for them. 😆

The first four vanilla Silent hill games are worth a good amount, even more if SH3 comes with the OST in good condition.
Too bad no Rule of Rose or Hunting Ground were mentioned.
Lucky me I happen to buy all these games for a reasoneable price.
