Thanks for the video. You didn't address a major complaint, though. When you first use your Fire the display blacks out after a few seconds of inactivity. The way around that is you need to go into the settings app, select Display Sleep, and choose a longer time of inactivity before the screen blacks out. I chose 5 minutes for mine. I hope this tip helps others. Also, although you can't ditch the Silk browser, you can still install the Chrome browser and the whole Google environment. No root necessary. Lots of articles and YouTube videos that discuss this.

Hi Wayne - great tutorial...now I just received my Amazon Fire 10 HD today. I am learning to navigate now with your help. Now one thing, the Washington Post appeared without my asking and it is free for 6 months...I do not want it..how do I remove it from this tablet?
Also, can I disable the camera? I do not need it.

Your videos are very helpful. I have one issue while watching YouTube videos. I can't get it to be Full Screen because on the right side it has a Show Next title with the headings of the next related videos taking up full screen space.

I use gmail and don't know how to do that on a fire 10 hd 7th generation tablet. also, if you have several apps open and want to close them how do you close them all at once or is that not possible. i saw in the video you did it 1 by 1. Also can you move the (apps around to different positions on the home screen.

I just put in a Team group PRO 160MB/sec 1TB MicroSD card - have not tried using it yet but the tablet does see it as 1TB.
