The colour they sent me was a tiny bit too dark so I contacted them to ask about exchanging, kind of assuming it would be a bit of a pain in the arse, but they got back to me straight away worked out a new shade, said I could keep the one I already had AND gave me a £15 off voucher for future purchases! I ordered some in the shade #40 after doing the quiz on the website and it was too dark and too warm. But I tried it for a week. They reached out to me to ask how I was getting on and I told the problem. They came back and said that I probably needed the shade #20. They sent me the replacement and a £15 voucher and told me to keep the first one. I gave it to my daughter and it was right for her. Top customer service.

Correct me if I'm wrong but there's only one type of il makiage foundation, as in coverage and finish. Meaning the quiz at the start (minus questions on shade) is just to collect information and data, seems really cheeky as you think you're getting a custom made foundation

I've literally been bombarded with ads for Il Makiage for months. I've heard mega mixed things about it, I've heard like 95% of people say the match is great, the other 5% have returned it like 4 times...
People seem to be happy with the coverage but I've heard of a bunch of people breaking out using it.

Girl, you don’t even need foundation. You look like you have one small acne scar. You’ve got beautiful skin! I’m jealous! I regularly have at least 4 active pimples or cystic acne on my jawline and yet I still go most days without wearing makeup. I’m also pretty pale- Ilmakiage said I’m a shade 10

I tried it too, it is amazing. I wasn’t happy with any shades or brands in world when it comes to foundation. But man this changed the story. I answered their quiz and they sent me a product and that is the best. I’m never gonna change any products ever in my life. I love IL Makiage and vote for this one.

I just used this foundation for the first time and I absolutely love it! the shade I got matched my skin tone perfectly and wearing it all day didn’t make my face too oily as opposed to drug store foundations. the only downside is that it’s around 45 dollars but sometimes you gotta spoil yourself for a good product lol

I am 43 years old. I have never found a foundation that ever worked properly for me. Shade, undertone, matte, that didn't make me look cakey and 10 years older than I I found this foundation a year ago. I swear by this company. The concealer that goes with it....is good as well. So glad to see you trying it out. It is worth every cent you spent on it.

Amazing match! I have heard though that they only sell one type of foundation (formula wise) so asking if you prefer matte or natural etc are just questions to make you think you're getting the perfect foundation.
