I ALMOST returned mine, thinking it was cakey and orangey and settled into my lines. Couldn't understand how so many people loved it. Then I watched a few reviews that clued me in to the fact that it was likely my oil-based cleanser/moisturizer that was mixing with it and causing it to oxidize. (I use evanhealy oils or Averr Aglow). It was also suggested to pat it in with a damp blender sponge rather than a brush, and NOT to use powder over the top of it. After tweaking those things (and waiting longer after moisturizing/sunscreen/etc to apply it), I was shocked that it gave me gorgeous looking skin. No flaking or pilling, matches color perfectly, and covers my blotchy red spots and veins well. It seems to "melt in" even better as I wear it throughout the day. I tend to have combo, acne prone skin and some fine age lines, and many foundations either get oily or make me break out. This one turned out to be great! I needed to find a new one after The Ordinary discontinued their foundation, which was my holy grail. The one downside, yes, I agree that the fragrance is off-putting. I wish there wasn't one. I don't notice it once it's on, though.

My experience with this foundation was awful. It made my wrinkles & pores stand out & arrive in the room before I did. I found a lovely Korean foundation that does not extenuate my facial flaws & remain all day. in fact, my the whole of all my skin care products are now Korean & I absolutely love them.

I’ve taken shade tests before and they are spot on, this one was not. It also was not for my skin, it showed my flaws and pores. Just shows everyone’s skin is different, but I truly enjoy your videos!! Thank goodness there’s always a return with make up these days!

I have this foundation and it is easy to apply with fingertips or a brush, and does indeed look flawless. Are use it for special days or evenings when I want a blank canvas to work with. For every day, I prefer the IT cc cream simply because it has higher SPF, and has a glow that you would expect from a good tinted moisturizer.

I've been using for about 2 weeks now and I love it. My 66 year old, semi oily skin looks great even after hours of wear. My pores disappeared and I do use a primer with it.

I think this foundation is great. It has a great varieties of shades and goes on flawlessly.

I love this foundation and never noticed a fragrance smell! It applies and stays wonderfully although I always use their primer beforehand.

The SMELL! I purchased it also about 6 months ago. I tried to put it on twice. I couldn't take it, the smell was chemically and strong. I haven't touched it since.

I love my Il Makiage foundation. I have dry skin and I do not find this product mattifying. It’s nice medium coverage. Love the finish. Gives my skin a nice natural finish.

I finally tried this today. I didn't smell a fragrance but I'm not sensitive to fragrance at all. I LOVE this stuff. It looks like skin and I couldn't feel this either. So lightweight and gorgeous.

My understanding from those who don't like Il Makiage is that it goes on beautifully, but after about 2 hours, it starts to break.
