In This one, The drifting in the game isn't great! for many reasons, the way The Crew Motorfest does drifting just doesnt work for what the game is, there is no open drifting, the cars are always fighting not to, and all the drifting is built for point to point drifting!

Two vehicle types that need a drastic change are:
1- drift cars
2- all bikes

The problem is, as you mentioned in the beginning, even if it's an arcade game, it is important to replicate actual physics or behaviors of the car at a minimum level.

It is really hard to have constancy in drifting in this game because the car doesn't behave like it would in real life and again at a minimum level to the least.

The fine car tuning in FH5 lets you make incredible drift cars out of both "Drift Spec" cars and normal cars. Plus the fact you can build a twin turbo 6.2 L Chev V8, add a 4 speed drift gearbox which you can tune to drive in one gear on Auto with a speed range of 180kph. Pop it into a Mazda MX5RF and adjust the tyre pressure as well as all the usual geometry. The drift tracks are limited in number. But the open world is wide enough to drift around the whole map. For funsies.

For ME i would enjoy Beamng drifting physics (realistic). But it wouldn't be the best option for Motorfest and 99% of players :)

I have the solution for you just choose the car you want to drift in and go to the pro setting's and lower the grip of the back tire and the car will be fully on drift mod this made the drifting so much fun

It took me longer to adapt to the planes. I enjoyed flying in TC2, but in Motorfest it was horrible. In drift, adjusting various settings makes it work fine for me.

There are two kinds of drifting in TCM: Hoonigan and the rest.
Hoonigan drifting is fluid and smooth as hell.
Everything else is an absolute pain and keeps locking up excessively.

IVT should give all drift cars Hoonigan physics.

Funny enough, one of the things that I LOVE in TCM is drifting because of the same reasons you dont like it. In Forza i cant even control a my car while drifting, is so slidy and sometimes unpredictable and there i really have to have TC and a lot of assistances, but here i love how I can make a full lap in one drift while I choose to be more close or far of the edges of the tracks, it feels like im on a movie scene

My main problem with drifting in TCM is how heavy you have to be on the controls to properly slide.
FH5 feels like you ease into and out of a drift while you gotta throw your car in this game, it makes it difficult to adjust your drifts mid-slide. You're either drifting or you're not there's no torque feel or anything.

I will just say that even with traction control off, the drift car accelerating forwards with me steering full to the side is really bad and someone should look at it. And it's not a problem with all of the drift cars, most hoonigan ones behave really nice, maybe too nice, almost like TrackMania stadium car on ice in turns, but that's way better than the rest.

Also, I support the idea of a switch allowing you to change "modes". But please that thing with drift cars not stealing when you steer too much is just frustrating

it makes me rlly sad that everyone has a problem with drifting while i rlly enjoy drifting on motorfest because i added a tune to every car i drive which makes my cars rear wheel only and it feels a lot more realistic

I did not know the Puma rally car could do that😭 i was getting pissed that I couldnt get any grip around turns but I dont think I tried to just regular drift😂

I believe half of these issues would be removed is if tcs off is actually viable for racing

I can’t imagine someone saying TCM’s Map isn’t beautiful. With the HUD off… incredible scenery.

The handling of TCM tries to bridge the gap between imitation and replication, yet it falls short in both respects. The devs gave us good visuals and graphics, but also gave us an unrealistic handling model (steering, gearing, and ANY control inputs) that they had later added settings in the game to fix because the issue IS STILL so bad. Don't get me wrong, the game is a lot better than it was, as someone who has played The Crew trilogy since release, there are countless shortcomings TCM has that keep me going back to TC2 or Forza. The devs are making progress toward righting these issues, but the game is still missing fundamental aspects after all this time. :(
