Buying A Betta Fish

Honestly is kind of sad because you know that if you buy one from a pet shop that has them in cups it's only will make the market of seying fish in cups stay but at the same time you are letting a life die in that cup without any proper caring nor a chance of having a good life

Well the beginning is actually true yes it is sad to see them like that but if you buy one it will just be replaced and supporting the company to buy more so you are doing more damage than you may think

Please don’t take the sellout route that other influencers take sir. No comment bait like calling a male a female or saying a fish was dead when it was still alive.
We still believe in you sir. Next time pocket the bettas in a jacket or a bag if we’re talking large franchise pet stores. If people “take” enough, they will stop stocking them for insurance sake. Big chain betta problem solved.

I buy from these places because I love seeing the bettas happy when I bring them home😊
unfortunately the workers and managers can’t do anything about selling the fish, but in many stores like the petsmarts I go to, they take great care of them, I hardly any see sick bettas, my sister works at one and she loves fish and she tells me how they take care of sick ones❤️

Tip: get a 5 gallon tank and a lid bc betta fish will jump out of water bc they eat bugs, hope this helps!

I had a Beta fish when I was younger, he lived for about 3-4 years, which was pretty good for a male beta fish, I was devasted when he passed, but I just reminded myself that its just how life goes, I have a puppy now so

im planning on buying a betta fish, and if you live near one i recommend bridges pets to purchase one. they are a smaller pet store but even though they also have bettas in cups, they are bigger and they actually care for them, they care for all of their fish.

If anyone has watched these fish in an aquarium you know how mean this is. I have two in a 55gallon community tank. They spend about 30min just swimming around every morning, they eat with the group of Mollies when I feed them and they each sleep on lily leaves I have growing in my tank. They literally curl up on the leaf and knockout. For that reason alone I dropped the water level by about an inch.
