Don't even need to finish this video before giving a thumbs up...Robert you are just the best, because not only you are good at what you do but also you are a very good teacher, a man with a big heart who is always ready to help and share his tricks.

You can also import NGS datasheets into TBC, no need to type in coords.
When you are viewing the data sheet in your web browser just right click and save web page, save it as a html file, then import that html file into TBC.
Ive imported all the ngs points for my whole county that way.
Then just export from TBC to google earth.

I use benchmap on android, not sure if it's on iOS though. Once you find the benchmark in the app, there is a link that launches your navigation app of choice.

I am fans of all your videos. You are amazing teacher, Thanks for all your efforts. My friends and I learn a world with you.
To me is more easy to type lat and long from the ngs sheet in Google maps and go.
We are field workers. From Florida. Thanks again for everything you do for us👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I do basically the same thing, except a few steps shorter. In your google maps you can type in the search bar your Lat and Long and it will set a pin to the specific location your looking for and then you can "save" that pin. Just a tip

Also great for providing crews with project limits, areas of importance, etc.

You should look at the ESRI ArcGIS explorer app (iPhone possibly other devices). Look up the BLM section map and turn on the imagery. Also look up the NOAA survey monument map. Super helpful maps that I discovered a few years back. Might make a nice video that would help a lot of fellow surveyors.

Why export a CSV and create a header, when you can just export kmz from TBC and import that into my.maps? You don't have to mess with spreadsheets at all if you use kmz as the file format. 🤔

Correct me if i am worng, but cant you just add in your control point to TBC. Then export our from TBC to google earth? Bassicly creating a .KML file. I do this all the time when i calibrate for construction contractors. Just make sure you log into your google earth desktop account and then use the same account when you download google earth on your phone. Super handy. Thanks for the video and keep up the good work!

Great video again Robert!
Once you recover some NGS control, don't forget to use your phone, data collector, or PC to visit our Mark Recovery page to add a note (and photos) to let others know the condition of the mark and suitability for GNSS. It can even use your device's location to find marks nearby!
