My neighbor has this car in this exact spec aside from the blue interior. It sounds incredible every time it passes my house.

Former Audi Tech here, the headers are factory, which is definitely cool. I personally think they probably played a little fast and loose with the emissions, as during my time as a tech I had to replace quite a few cats that failed before the 8 year 80k mile warranty period. They flowed really well though. Valve covers were also factory. The traction control light should also reset automatically after the traction control computer sees input from all the wheel sensors. You shouldn't have to crank the steering wheel, it just needs to learn wheel speeds after the dead battery replacement.

My Forman at audi had one of these. Same spec. 280k miles and the car was still immaculate! Sold it to a friend who continues to drive it. Gorgeous cars

Current automotive college student here, got into it from your vids (and engineering not working out lol) and bought myself my first fun project car 03 Audi TT Quarttro. Love seeing some audi love on the channel. Much love from southern IN :)

I see alot of comments saying Alex bought it, he sold alot of cars, and now bought this RS4, and so on...
People, pay atention to the video, he literally begins the video with the words "my FRIEND bought"
He also hides the licence plate because it's not his.
But anyway, even if it was his, so what? He earned all the cars he wants through hard work and being an awesome dad and husband.
And this is quite a special car to pass by if it's a good deal.

This car is 100% going to be a future classic. They are just so beautiful and an amazing package for the time period. They handle extremely well, they feel pretty balanced and the powertrain is awesome. Cherry on top is they look fantastic. They are so wide and aggressive looking for the era

I was expecting this to be a one hour talking video about restoring the car and then you making 18 part videos of you restoring it. But turned out to be one really good video where you restored it. Fantastic way to make a video. I appreciate this setup. Thank you!

My sister and brother in law have a 2008. With 30k miles. Swapped in the KW suspension. I’ve driven it a few times, and it’s a ripper. Great car.

You will never financially recover from this.

I love it. Can't wait to see the build.

I got to spend two days driving preproduction RS4 mules at The Spanish Grand Prix Circuit in 2006. The brake calipers had the Lamborghini logo on them as they were off the Gallardo. They wanted us to limit the revs to 8k even though 8.5k was no problem. These cars are an absolute blast on a race course. The sound of that 4.2 V8 on song coming down the front straight made the hair stand up on your arms. The RS4 is a very special machine.

The trick with VW/Audi electrical connectors is push the release tab at the back down, then push the connector IN then pull off. Don't use a pick or you can break the internal locking plastics

That milltek exhaust is worth a lot of money for that engine and car !

Whenever I watch these kind of videos, I just want to leave my office job, get some training in car mechanics and open my own shop. This is so satisfying to watch, especially because I am also a proud owner of this beast.

I learned how to drive on a 2007 Audi s4 and it’s such a great car to drive. The Audi rs4 is greatest super sedan, manual transmission v8 ever made

Thanks Alex for inspiring me to get back under the hood. My Dad was a mechanic, so I did most of my own repairs when I was young, but life got busy, and cars got complicated, so I hadn't turned my own wrench in years. I stumbled on your channel a few months ago and when my CEL came on recently, I decided to buy my own scanner. It said the code was my upstream O2 sensor so I got the part and got back under the hood. You're right, the click of my torque wrench is pretty satisfying. Got it done and my car is running perfectly again. Thanks for getting a wrench back in my hands

I owned a B7 S4 for a couple years and I miss it more than ever! Nothing better sounding than that 4.2 V8. Thanks for showing us Audi boys some love!
