Drag Race! Ford Mustang Mach-E GT vs. Chevy Corvette C8 | 0-60, Horsepower, Rollouts & More

In our latest drag racing video, our very own Chevy Corvette takes on the newcomer in town, the Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV. Ryan ZumMallen and Travis Langness are at the track to see if Ford's electric SUV can take down our powerful Corvette C8 in a head-to-head drag race. The C8 Corvette has taken on some heavy hitters, like the Mustang GT500 and Tesla Model 3, but can it take down one of the fastest electric cars money can buy, the Mustang Mach-E GT Performance? You said you rev up to 2000 rpm with the C8 Corvette. When you put the C8 into launch mode, after you double tap the traction control off you can use the control on the steering wheel to change it into race mode. It will rev up to 3000 rpm. I get a quicker 0-60 this way. Love the video, great job.

The C8 was not in launch mode which should have the starting RPM at 3, 500RPM not 2, 000 we saw here. It does make a noticeable difference. Fun video!

The C8 launches at 3500 rpm not 2000 rpm. Nobody on the shoot knew how to launch the car correctly? That's embarrassing. It wouldn't be close had the car launched at max RPM. Btw there are about a 100 how to launch a C8 on youtube..

The C8 launches at 3500 rpm when you use launch control. If you don't push down very hard on the brake, it doesn't go into launch control and only revs to @ 1700 rpm.

The fact that the Mach-E didn't pull away in front of the Vette from the dig says alot about the C8.

People here be commenting about sub 3s on the Corvette must really not understand how this works. While the Corvette timer may show 2.8s 0-60, the real time on dragy is 3.4s. That's with launch control being used. A car with rwd won't be doing sub 3s on the street. Probably in the 4s when just floored.

I ran mine is Engage mode and it's faster. The power limiter kicks in after 5 seconds of flooring it. If you let up and hit the pedal again, it resets.

Hold on a sec, the Corvette should had gone waaaay less that 3.4 sec 0 to 60. That guy doesn't know how to properly launch that Vette.
