Hyundai is absolutely killing it with their N lineup, the haters can say what they will, but the results clearly speak for themselves. Thanks for another fantastic comparison, Sam! Looking forward to the next one!

The Ioniq never fails to impress. Hyundai did a great job with it.
I love when car makers go all out like that, because it forces other car makers to do more to compete.

It’s time to start calling it the ICONIC 5N

The ionic 5N has changed my perspective on EVs

The Hyundai can compete against some supercars like McLaren for a fraction of the price.

I saw a lot of car's channels like carwow, car experts, OG, thl house and others, they were surprised like you Sam about amazing Ioniq5 ❤❤

Hyundai’s engineering is just great full of smart people 😂😂😂

Hyundai/kia is really back with a vengeance… a lot of their products look great and perform great and let’s not forget Genesis .. an I’m a GM guy

Truly wanted the ioniq 5N, sadly dealers are plaguing it with 10-20k markups. I opted in for a Elantra N because of it.

Under 3 seconds 0-60 and 11s seconds car for 80k, who would imagined that from Hyundai 10 years ago.

Hyundai understood how to make EV sportscar attractive, not only in performance and transporting emotion in sound and design, also in pricing. I would have expected the Tesla to perform much better. From a roll it hardly cannot beat the 680kg heavier Acura with less power.

Im like 99% they benchmarked the Taycan. Mainly because the Ioniq 5 N was meant to be able to do 1 nurburgring lap, fast charge, then do another nurburgring lap without overheating.
And guess what? Misha (YouTuber) was able to track the car with no overheating issues. For reference the new Model 3 highland performance brakes overheated 1/4 way through the lap and also limited power by 50% before the first lap even finished!!
This car should be able to keep up with a Taycan 4s... In a straight line and around a track. Similar acceleration and weight

Took my 5N to the 1/4, roll and 1/2 mile events.
I am looking forward to do some road racing with it. It handles pretty good and was a blast, had many good and close hits with it at the event with many modded cars even a Lambo 🙌🏼
I will let the Plaid do the taking at the acceleration events 😆

Wow that Hyundai IONIC N that is a beast... Those are like supercar numbers.. I love the looks too...❤ The Tesla looks like a boring jelly Bean.😂

Fun fact: This test of the Mach-E was in Unbridled Extend mode which limits power. EV Pulse tested this on an older GT (that has less power than the 24) and here were the results:
Best Run
3.69 second 0-60
12.49 second 1/4 mile
Unbridle Extend mode
4.70 second 0-60
13.35 second 1/4 mile
Clockwork
Hyundai showing them how its done. Sad they had to show everyone how to make an EV actually fun and have far better build quality than Teslas will ever have.

Couple of issues with the Mach-E and the test in general...
1) State of charge - The only commentary we have is that the Mach-E was at least at a 60% SoC. This can impact power output and the resulting times. What was the SoC of the other vehicles? What are their power curves based on SoC? I don't know, but it's certainly an important factor/consideration.
But more importantly...
2) Drive mode - The Mach-E was in Unbridled Extend. This mode reduces peak power. I found a Mach-E Forum post that suggested this reduction can limit power to about 70%. I am not sure of the accuracy of that, but the same post did link an EV Pulse video that did compare 0-60 times between modes. In that video, the Mach-E was definitely hampered in Unbridled Extend when compared to the regular Unbridle mode.
You seriously didn't question your results or think something was off?
