Lionel Davis - One Thing about CAP 2018

Lionel Davis began a long association with the Community Arts Project, Cape Town, in 1978, shortly after the lifting of a five-year period of house arrest (preceded by 7 years on Robben Island for political activities). Davis performed many roles at CAP – volunteer, student, teacher, co-ordinator and trustee. Davis was recently honoured with a retrospective exhibition at the South African National Gallery, accompanied by a monograph (titled Awakenings, published by ASAI).
