In 2022 I earned a 10% return selling 0 DTE puts and O DTE covered calls on the QQQ, SPY, TSLA and a few other high volatility stocks. I use cash-secured puts in my IRA
and the only issue you need to be aware of is that if you are called on your stock, you need to allow enough time for the cash to be credited to your account. Failure to do this can causes trading violations and your account can be frozen. ALWAYS check your cash balance before placing a trade!

Henry, I have done just a few 0 DTE SPY and QQQ in the past. I was successful, but lacked the mechanics and information that your video provided. Now I have some better understanding - which brings more confidence. So glad I signed up for your classes and glad that you are an unsuspecting mentor to this grandpa 😀

I think it should be noted, (and please correct me if I'm wrong) that you would be subject to PDT or pattern day trading if your account is under 25, 000 and you run this 0 DTE strategy. Remember, 4 day trades within a 5 day trading period (essentially a full week since the trade), is all your allotted before you'll be subject to account restrictions, UNLESS you switch to a cash account.

However, with a cash account, you'll have to wait up to 3 days for those funds to settle if they were used to execute a day trade. Just make sure you keep this in the back of your mind before you go running into 0 DTE.

But Henry ain't wrong, lol. The strategy is good, as long as you maintain good risk management and trade psychology. Looking forward to a new fiscal year of trading. Wishing everyone here a successful 2023!

One thing to remember is that the options trading desk is open until 6pm on the day of expiration, so after the normal market close at 4pm if there are aftermarket price moves on the underlying stock (or ETF) before 6pm, your naked puts (or calls for that matter) can go in the money (after hours) and be assigned. So, on the next morning you can find that you own (or are short in the case of exercised calls) hundreds of shares.

Excellent video! I started selling 0 dte QQQ covered calls last week, and your video is the only one on YouTube that really covers the strategy! Thank you so much!

Just so I understand, you sold 40 puts on qqq? you would have to have over a million $ collateral for that correct?

Love the videos Henry, just started a small account challenge planning to use verticals & swing plays to grow the account! Thanks for the continued inspiration! Best of luck in the upcoming year, God bless!

Zeros are only for the best traders. Unless you are that top tier, go with 1 or more DTE! DON'T BLOW UP YOUR ACCOUNT. Size your position properly as well.

Henry, Thank you for your amazing videos. They are extremely helpful. Are there other ETFs like QQQ and SPY that offer daily option contracts?

When is it safe to exit the put credit spread? I was thinking about right after a credit, is that rude? Didn't know ...lmk

Why not do SPX instead? 1M in 40 x 253P QQQ puts to make $400??

Henry, you've really got me considering spreads and selling options more from watching your videos. For selling spreads, I'd have to switch to a margin account. Anything to know before I make the switch other than needing $25K+ to get past the PDT rule?

3:05 0dte, hard to get 3% out of the money.

Also, with a 10 delta, that one day where it goes against you, that loss could 100% wipe out ALL your past gains.

Works until it doesn't. Risking a whole lot of money for a very low return at a 10 delta.

When opening a DTE as in this video, do you need to close it as well or just let it expire if it is profitable?

And what company are you using your charts with and would I be able to start off with $1, 000 or maybe even $500 if possible

Can you please talk about scaling credit spreads on QQQ and/or SPY. What to look for in regards to open interest? Would it be too risky to sell $5, 000-$10, 000 worth or credit spreads on QQQ/ SPY? -Given it would only be a small percent of a portfolio. Thanks Henry.

What time of day do you typically place these trades? At open? Or do you wait a few hours?
