Taiwan Flies Warplanes To Simulate PLA Attack, Eyes US Warships Amid China Invasion Threat

Taiwan’s military has released an official handbook advising civilians on how to prepare for a potential Chinese invasion. Russia's invasion of Ukraine has triggered fears that China may make a similar move against Taiwan. On April 12, Taiwan’s military also conducted drills in Taipei, simulating an air attack by the Chinese PLA. People in Taipei were startled by the exercise, as warplanes roared overhead from 5 am to 7 am without warning. Taiwan’s Dy Defence Minister Alex Poe has said the self-governed island is considering acquiring US warships.

Taiwan has always to be ready to defend itself. But China doesn´t need to invade, as it can simply blockade the island and destroy anti ship batteries, food storages and farms to starve Taiwan into submission. Everything depends on what NATO will do in Ukraine. If it gets itself entangled in an intervention with Russia, China might go for an attack on Taiwan.
