Why Scar Never Respected The Hyenas

Hyenas were viewed as beneath all lions. Even Scar, who was willing to align with the hyenas, only ever believed them to be pawns on his journey to become King.

Yeah if you think about it as allegory the hyenas are the commoners, the ones that the people in power all look down on but know their discontent can be harnessed to unseat the current ruler and get a new one in power. Mufasa is every king that ever lost the game of revolutions and Scar is every revolutionary who wished he was king and managed to convince the populace that their woes are the king’s fault.

My opinion is that Scar achieved justice because Mufasa expelled the hyenas from the Pride Lands even though they were part of the diet, and the drought that occurred when Scar gained power, Scar and the hyenas cannot do a great drought because drought is natural. ❤

Well, Hyenas are known to be scavengers. Eating any meat other predators such as lions doesn’t finish. Scar and other lions probably view them as garbage eaters.

Also, I still feel like Lion Guard screwed up Zira not just with her character and voice, but her appearance as well
